The first event of the Knutsford Schools Sports Partnership programme took place this week with over 150 primary children taking part in Cross Country organised by the Knutsford Harriers. Now in it’s third year, pupils from years 4, 5 and 6 from all five of Knutsford’s primary schools represented their schools in the event at Egerton Sports ground.
The cross country gives the kids the opportunity to experience a new sport. The races bring out real competitive spirit individually and for their school.
This year’s event was sponsored by 5 of Knutsford’s creative agencies, Ripple Marketing, Untitled, Ultimate, Pixel Air and Impact Business Advisors meaning every athlete went home with a medal and the top 3 received trophies.
St. Vincent’s were the winners of the Boys relay for the second year in a row and winners of the girls relay, also for the second year were Yorston Lodge.
The first five kids in each race scored points for their school to take home the team trophy which was retained by Yorston Lodge again this year with an amazing effort from their girls and boys team.
